1980年代の終わり頃、誇り高き古都京都で生まれる。

ピアノの先生だった母の影響で音楽と向き合う幼少期をすごしたものの、指の短さがネックとなりピアノに向いてないと判断される。

その後、シャ乱Qの音楽に魅せられ、高校からエレキギターを始める。

コピーバンドやオリジナルバンドでのギターボーカルをいくつも経験した後、ハードシンセ打ち込みでのコミカルポップシンガーとしてインディーズで活動。

大学卒業後も小学校の先生をしながら活動を続けていたが、公務員と音楽活動の両立は想像以上に厳しく、堅実な仕事を辞めて音楽に専念することを選ぶ。

2014年から自己流を脱し、プロの作詞家のレッスンにて音楽を基礎から学びなおす。

音楽理論から楽曲制作のノウハウなど様々な知識を習得。

ここで「吉田ハチ」が誕生。

日本のポップシーンに蔓延る「音楽が無くても成立する音楽ビジネス」に疑問を感じるようになる。

純粋な作品の良さを追求するため、音源制作・MV制作に傾倒。

映像配信・国内外への楽曲提供など様々な形態で作品を生み出し、数々のコンテストで入賞の実績を重ねる。

2021年、2022年とフィリピンのTV番組やイベントにて吉田ハチの活動が紹介される。2023年にはフィリピンの有名バンドThe Itchywormsの日本ツアーにゲスト出演。アジア圏の音楽情報メディアBandwagon Asiaにて特集インタビュー記事が掲載される。

Biography:

Tatsuya Yoshida (Hachi Joseph Yoshida) is an award winning songwriter in Kyoto, Japan. In 1987, He was born in Kyoto. His mother is a teacher of piano, and he started to play piano since childhood, but it's frustrated because his finger is short. He got a guitar when he was a high school student, and he formed some bands to play rock and pop. He played at live music clubs and music festivals as a solo musician since 2010. But he got to concentrate on writing lyrics and composition. Because it's too heavy and hard to carry his music instruments by himself. He has composed 400 over songs by 2016. His skill of writing lyrics and composition could be evaluated by Japanese professional musicians gradually. In 2017, The Sounds Contest, all Japan songwriting competition, he won the special prize. In 2019, he won the grand prize of The YAMAMURAYA Song Contest and got the prize money 1,000,000 yen. And, He got the 1st prize of the world music category in the 24th USA Songwriting Competition. In 2021 and 2022, Hachi's activities were featured in TV programs and events in the Philippines, and in 2023, he was a guest performer in the Japan tour of The Itchyworms, a famous band in the Philippines. A feature interview was published on Bandwagon Asia, a music information media in the Asian region.
